secret santa gift for @joyfuladorable!
usually i like how much tsubaki cares about her minor characters (being a kosaka fan after all) but i seriously think she cares too much about yamashita like what the hell he is literally just a guy who is good at cooking. not even in a sexy funny way like kakimoto (or whatever his name was) tsubaki likes him so much that she was planning to write a whole chapter about him with himeji (who is also a minor character but has a distinct personality) and she also wrote so much about him in those volume extras, even more than on the main female characters (hojo, nonoguchi) who actually had plot relevance (maybe this is more to do with yamashita’s personality ‘cause he’s the mom friend who worries over okubo). i think yamashita only serves to be the straight man in those chapters where he hangs out with hayasaka and maizono but even then… isn’t hayasaka the straight man? i get the point of yamashita and he is good and fine in the dynamic of east high (especially with mafuyu) my problem just is he gets too much focus. so what if i sound insane. i’m a hater

i have opinions on her but i don’t think they’re worth sharing. she’s funny though, i wish we could see the girls of the student council interact with each other some more
i like his eyes. it’s nice to have a fully responsible character for once, but he was unnecessarily troublesome in the first return to saitama arc, making mafuyu think her friends hated her for no reason. he did nothing aside from that though. wasn’t he meant to be a crossdresser as well?
what can i say… i love characters who drown in the guilt of the shitty things they do. the part where he cries when apologizing to nonoguchi is one of my favorite scenes in the whole series because it’s so emotional. their current relationship is so sweet too, but i don’t ship it… i think he just wants to make it up to her after all these years
